*Open to 9-12 Graders only. High schools included in these counties: McDowell, Buncombe, Burke, Mitchell, Rutherford, Mitchell, & Avery.
I’m so excited to announce something that I’ve been working on for a couple of years now (literally. years.)!
Christy Lewis Photography is now hiring!
I’m looking for a few good guys and gals to help me spread the word that you deserve your very own, unique Senior Experience.
What exactly is a Senior Experience? I’m glad you asked.
I take my time with you throughout the entire process, from our first initial encounter (whether it’s in person, a Facebook message, an email, a text or a phone call) until…well, forever, really. I get to know you, and you get to know me. I learn who you are, what you enjoy, your hobbies, your future plans. Together, we will work to make your senior photo session not only about photos, but an entire experience, one that is individualized, personalized and all about YOU. Do you realize that your senior portraits are probably the most important photos of your life until your wedding day? Think about it. They are! And I’m grateful that you’re considering me to help you capture those moments.
THAT – that is why having your own Senior Experience is important.
But back to this whole job/rep thing….
I’m looking for people who will help me spread the word by showing off your photos to your friends by sharing Facebook posts/tweets/Instagram photos…If you’re active on social media, you’ve already got a start! Are you going to be a 9th – 12th grader during the 2014-2015 school year? Yeah? Awesome. I need you to be outgoing. Fun. EXCITED to be a part of Christy Lewis Photography. If you love having your photos taken, love to talk, love attention, love to earn free sessions with discounted specialty items, love free stuff (like contests, digital downloads of your own images, t-shirts!), then I’d love to hear from you. But I’m warning you – it won’t be for the weak. I want dedicated people who are willing to work and help out – I’m not interested in people who only want the free stuff…but who want to WORK for it. It won’t be hard, I promise, but it will take dedication. If you think you’ve got what it takes, please take a moment to fill out the application at the top of the page here under “Rep Program.”
I can’t wait to hear from you! Space is limited for each high school, and will be based on personality, energy & enthusiasm for your very own Senior Experience.
I am SO super excited!
See that pretty little circular logo over there on the right side?
I am now a proud member of NAPCP – National Association of Professional Child Photographers.
What is NAPCP, exactly?
I love kids, that’s no secret. I enjoy kids. I love to talk to them, become their friend. I like it when they ask questions, and want to know “why?” If you’re looking for a unique way to capture your children and remember who they *really* are, I strive for fun & relaxed, natural light, lifestyle photography that captures their unique personalities.
Don’t trust these memories that are irreplaceable with just anyone. I can’t wait to hear from you.
Rachel and Josh got married in Hawaii, followed by a honeymoon there. They planned a reception in the mountains of NC, at the very beautiful 70 acre working farm, Yesterday Spaces when they returned home.
The details! Oh my! Jane McDaniel of Just Plain Jane Designs did all of the decorating. The theme? A mountain winter, including snowmen, snowflakes, hot cocoa, pine cones and hot apple cider. Jane did ALL the decorations. (Wait til you see Rachel’s bouquet that Jane designed! Keep reading…)
Rachel & Josh are so amazingly sweet. Seriously. I don’t know how else to explain these two. So in love, so sweet, so kind and caring. They spent most of their time making sure everyone else was comfortable and having a great time. I could tell they genuinely wanted everyone there to know they appreciated them sharing this special day, and wanted everyone to relax, eat, drink, and celebrate.
I love events with photo booths. Period.
They are SO fun for guests, and I enjoy watching everyone relax and laugh at themselves.
Seriously – she’s beautiful on the inside AND out, huh?
Cakes, cupcakes, another cake, MORE cupcakes! (Oh, I love cupcakes!!) All the sweetness was made by Tiffany at Tiffany’s Baking Co. in Asheville. I had a piece of the cake. Major goodness.
I can’t get over the amount of creativity and personalization that Jane did for Rachel & Josh. Mountain winter themed reception. Could it possibly have been any better? I honestly don’t think so. Jane is aMAYzing!
See this bouquet?
Let me explain this, because I really want you to understand.
It’s a brooch bouquet, again, designed by Jane. For Rachel’s bridal shower, she asked every guest to bring an antique brooch. It was then put together to create this unique, one of a kind bouquet, and then fabric from Rachel’s mother and grandmother’s wedding dresses were wrapped around the handle. Unbelievably meaningful. I almost cried just looking at it. Yes, I’m a big baby.
Yes. This IS what you think it is. A car cake. A cake that’s a car. A carrot car cake, actually. Rachel had some serious talent working with her. Tiffany’s Chevy cake was a huge hit with the guests, not to mention Josh, the groom.
Did I mention they had a Smores Bar? Oh yeah, baby. A bonfire, fully equipped with graham crackers, marshmallows and Hershey bars. Oh glory, this was a fun (and fattening!) event!
Thank you, Rachel & Josh. I had as much fun photographing your very unique, beautiful reception as every guest had being there. Best wishes for a beautiful, healthy, blessed life together. xo
Autumn days here in the western part of North Carolina are some of the best times to just get out and drive around, looking at the colors, listening to the calm quietness that is all around except for the crispy leaves under your feet. The yellow/orange glow of the autumn sun makes for some beautiful photos, too. Fall even has a crisp smell – fresh, clean and soothing. On a comfortably cool fall day, Jessica and her two guys met me at the park where we did their family session. Cooper, the cute blonde? Yeah. He’s really that yummy. A two year old that is full of life and wonder, excitement and curiosity, he was the perfect play date for me!
